Our Story

Hey there, thanks for visiting and supporting HALO Eclipse Spectacles! I started this company in 2017 with the goal of providing safe, sustainable and fashionable options for eclipse viewing.

It all began just before the 2017 North American eclipse, where I was seeking out high quality eyewear with looks to rival the majestic event we were about to witness. Finding none, I took matters into my own hands and HALO was born. You can see more on the longer story here.

At HALO, we are dedicated to delivering style while focusing on safety. Our eclipse lenses are tested by an independent professional testing facility and meet the requirements of ISO 12312-2:2015 for safe solar viewing during the eclipse, as verified by the American Astronomical Society's Solar Eclipse Task Force.

By purchasing HALO eclipse spectacles, you are not only getting a quality product, but also supporting a conscientious approach to sustainability and integrity in business practices. We use a portion of our proceeds to support local classroom eclipse viewing trips and local artists.

As the founder, I am committed to ensuring the safety of our products. I have researched and tested multiple lens manufacturers to ensure that HALO glasses meet ISO specifications.
